Tarot in Lumia: Yes or No, the three-card journey, the seven-card big picture

Lumia’s tarot is three spreads and one rule. One card for a Yes or No. Three for the journey — past, present, future. Seven for the whole situation. The rule: the cards are read against your birth chart, and the reading answers the question you asked, decisively, with the reason.

The three spreads

SpreadForReturnsPrice
Yes or NoOne decision, one questionYes, leaning yes, unclear, leaning no, or no — and whyFree
Three-card journeyA situation with a historyThe answer first, then past, present and futurePremium
Seven-card big pictureSomething larger than a decisionYou, the situation, the challenge, the past, what is coming, the advice, the outcomePremium

Read against your chart

The same card means different things to different people, and generic tarot apps cannot say which. Lumia can, because it has your chart. The Eight of Wands for a Mars-in-Aries chart is “go, now”; for a Saturn-heavy chart it is “faster than you are comfortable with, and that is the point”. The Empress in a career reading for a strong earth day master lands differently from the same card for a weak one. The reading names the fit.

Written to answer

A Yes or No reading opens with the answer. A three-card reading opens with “The Answer” before it walks the cards. A seven-card reading closes with an outcome and a single piece of advice. None of them will tell you the universe invites you to reflect. When the cards are clear the reading is clear; when they are mixed it says so and says what would tip it. Using a reading for a decision.

By question

Career tarot and love tarot walk through how to ask and what each spread returns for that kind of question.

Where it lives

The daily card on Today is one card drawn for your day, free, with a message. The Yes or No draw is in Readings and on Today. The spreads are in Readings, with the chart, transits, BaZi and compatibility, and every reading is saved to your journal.

Frequently asked questions

Is tarot free in Lumia?

The Yes or No draw is free, as often as you like, with the full reading. The three-card and seven-card spreads are Premium, $8.99 a month with a free first week.

How is Lumia's tarot different from a tarot app?

The cards are read against your birth chart. A Tower for someone with Uranus on the Ascendant is not the Tower for someone with a Taurus stellium, and the reading says which. The readings are also written to answer: a Yes or No is a yes or a no with the reason, not a meditation on the card.

Which spread should I use?

One card for one decision. Three when you want to see how the situation got here and where it is going. Seven when the situation is bigger than a decision — a job, a relationship, a year — and you want the whole shape.

Is the deck the standard 78?

Yes: 22 Major and 56 Minor Arcana, upright and reversed.
