Where this comes from

By day Han is an engineering director at a public technology company, with more than ten years in tech and an education at the intersection of entertainment, computer science and computer graphics. Eight years of daily meditation led her to BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu — and what she found there looked familiar. The classical systems are centuries of recorded lives and events, compressed into a model: closer to statistics and machine learning than to fortune telling.

So she reads them the way her field reads any large dataset — test the model against outcomes, keep what predicts, question what does not. That habit is where the method below comes from.

The practice

The readings are one-to-one and start from computed charts, not from a sun sign or a card of the day. A full reading usually crosses at least two systems: a Zi Wei or BaZi chart for the structure of a life, a Western natal chart for temperament and timing, tarot when the question is specific enough to deal for.

What can be said about those readings publicly is aggregate, and only aggregate. No client is named here, no birth data is shown, and no reading is retold — the recurring themes across dozens of sessions are career timing, relationship pattern, and the gap between what a person is built for and what they are currently doing.

The method: more than one system

No single system reads more than about seventy percent of a life. That number is a working estimate from practice, not a theorem — but it holds often enough to be the rule. Zi Wei Dou Shu is strong on structure and decade cycles; BaZi on constitution and element balance; a Western chart on psychology and transit timing; tarot on the question in front of you right now. Each one alone leaves a blind spot the others cover.

So the method is triangulation: cast more than one chart, and trust what they agree on. Where two systems point at the same theme independently, that theme is worth saying with confidence. Where they disagree, the disagreement is the finding — it usually marks the part of the question the reading cannot settle. This is also the thesis Lumia is built on.

Statistics, not superstition

A reading is a claim, and a claim can be checked. Han’s practice treats interpretation the way a forecaster treats a forecast: say what is likely and when, plainly enough to be wrong, and then look at what happened. Readings are validated against outcomes over time — the patterns that keep surviving that check are the ones that get said with confidence.
